Erin L. Hillier obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2009 from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington. She began her career as a part-time legal clerk at Davidson Backman Medeiros in Spokane, Washington while attending law school. In 2010, Erin joined the firm Hillier, Scheibmeir & Kelly, P.S. which had its start in 1939, and became a law partner in 2019. Over her first 14 years of practice, Erin served as City Attorney and City Prosecutor for six cities in Thurston, Lewis, and Cowlitz Counties, for public utility districts, and other quasi-governmental entities, in addition to maintaining her role in private practice serving large and small corporations, timber companies, medical clinics, private clients, nonprofits, and land developers. She has had experience as an executive and manager in several industries—including as the Executive Director of a large nonprofit organization specializing in social services, housing, early childhood education, development disability support services, government contracting, and more.
Erin’s primary areas of practice since 2010 have been Municipal Law (Civil and Criminal), Corporate, Small Business, Real and Personal Property, Contracts, Banking, Employment, Public Records, Construction, and Estate Planning/Probate. She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Washington State Association of Municipal Attorneys (WSAMA). She is admitted to the bar in Washington State and the Federal District Courts for the Western District and Eastern Districts of Washington.
She joined LLDKB in February 2025, where she continues to serve government and quasi-governmental entities in a variety of areas. Erin is committed to her communities and has served on several boards and civic organizations. She is a mother of two and shares a love of food, gardening, live music, and the outdoors with her restaurateur husband who owns and manages two establishments in Centralia and Chehalis, Washington.
